If pro is the opposite of con, then is Congress the opposite of progress, or did I just blow your mind?

List it:

- spoon rarities
- strawberry jam at 320 kbps
- hella
- destroyer's "Steethawk: A Seduction"
- yeah yeah yeah's "Isis ep"
- malajube
- tap tap
- the fiery furnace's "widow city"
- boredoms
- broken social scene presents: kevin drew's "Spirit If"
- the twilight sad
- wilco's "sky blue sky"

I've also been listening to a few audio books. My favorite being "A Short History Of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson - and not just because the accent. Also: America the book (the Daily Show one) and Michael Shermer's "Why People Believe Weird Things".

Not to mention me actually reading. I've been trying to finish up all the books I started the past school year: Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman, On The Road, and I just got EEEE EEEE EEEEEE (the number of e's may not be accurate).

And finally, I'm looking forward to Miranda July's book which I should be getting shortlyyyyyyy.....

Stupid free time.

I usually prefer reading as well, but audiobooks are great for multitaskers. Wonderful for long road trips actually.

I haven't seen that yet, no, but it's on my Blockbuster queue. I think it's the next movie I'll get, so it's funny you should ask.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think about that. I could listen to it whilst arting.

Yeah I don't have the real book. Audiobooks are great for me when I'm working though. Or in the car.

Ok. I usually prefer reading the real thing, but I'll give this audiobook thing a try...

Well, I could just get it to you now. I'll put it on my flash drive so I can give it to you next time I see you.

Kewl. Can I borrow it from you when you finish?

Hey vince, you seen Me and You and Everyone We Know? It's written and directed by July. Very good, and oddly funny.

And that myst book is next on my 'ones to finish' list. I don't have much to go. And the Bill Bryson book is from 2003 so yeah, pretty recent. Oh yeah, and it's HUGE.

Oy, did you ever finish Book 1 of Myst?

Oh man! I want that Miranda July book! I found the website a long time ago, before it was released, and wanted it immediately. And it turns out she's awesome.

It's on my amazon wishlist.

I will borrow it from you. I WILL.

Aw man I hate how my summer listen-list is always a year behind yours. It's all the same bands, just their older releases, except for Andrew Bird's latest. And get me Sky Blue Sky sometime, I'll trade you for something. I know there was something, right?

And is that a new Bill Bryson book? I don't remember hearing it, and I don't think he's written but a handful...?
