so i've been here a few months, and haven't web logged yet. not that i've been too busy, which i have, but i guess it's more along the lines of i have nothing to post that's 'blogesque.' it's mostly just rants and raves and things that irritate me. so nothing artistic-y. nothing that would appropriately grace these pages. those who have read what i've essayed before know what i mean.
i wish i had more free time to create what i would like, but my time is filled with school, work, tutor…

a friend of mine who i was in a lot of classes with, graduated last year at the same time the previous designer quit, so he applied for the position and got it. he's really really good, and this is the first semester they had a budget to hire an intern/assistant designer, so he asked me if i wanted the position. i'd already had done several things chosen to be published for the school before, so that helped convince his boss to let him.
That sounds like a pretty great position. How much of the stuff do you get to keep for your portfolio, if any? And how'd you get the job?
I interned over at University Relations for a semester. Although it was a somewhat...unfulfilling experience, it was still enjoyable. And it gave me print experience that I wouldn't have had otherwise, so.
