I stumbled across this page quite randomly, but it's a fantastic project and I'd love to be involved. I'm from Kyoto, Japan, so my apologies to whichever poor sap has to pay the international postage (I'm assuming it's alright for the sketchbook to leave the country?). Should I send some artwork samples first?
I'd love to start a sketchbook too, but for the time being I'm happy to just support the one(s) already going around. This concept has amazing potential; I'd love to see it become huge.
Hey Amy! Welcome to the Coalition! I was actually just talking about how we needed to get someone from Japan to start a book, so would you be interested in beginning one and passing it around to some artist friends there?
Because I've only been in Japan for 9 months, and am in the teaching circle rather than the art world at present, I left all my artist buddies back in Australia ;_; I could recruit some from back in Aus, but in Japan it'd take longer... if I can track down some other artists I'll see if I can get one going around :3
Sounds good! Since this is still in the early stages, there aren't a whole lot of concrete rules for anything. But as the book does circulate, make sure people take pictures of it and upload them here if possible so that we can all see the progress, especially those who won't ever get their hands on the actual book! For now, go ahead and start your book and a discussion in the books section with your info so that we all know what's in the works.
